 The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the UN on December 10, 1948.  But to what extent does this important historical document affect JUSTICE and DEMOCRACY on a global perspective?  Week 1 (asynchronous) will spotlight various UDHR articles and connect them to current societal issues.  Week 2 will be LIVE and bring in guest experts in the field of law.

 From McDonald’s to Amazon deliveries, technology is taking over places where humans once reigned.  What happens when TECHNOLOGY meets BIOLOGY?  This course will cover the origins of biotechnology, current advancements, and future innovations in the field.

No matter how advanced our technology has become, the depths of space and sea are still, to an extent, scientific mysteries.  Join this journey to learn more about what we know and are still discovering about these important scientific worlds!  Week 1 (asynchronous) will familiarize you with current research on space and ocean exploration, while Week 2 will give you access to some of the scientific experts in each scientific field.

This course will look at how music and art help to shape and influence the zeitgeist of the United States.  This course will explore the visual and lyrical art from 1800s to present that have helped paint the picture of each time period.  Come prepared to listen to various genres and explore various art for each time period.  This course will culminate with each camper sharing their auditory/visual soundtrack of the topics explore during the camp session.
